The 12-week self-paced curriculum covering all 6 Dispatch Operational Systems. This is the complete foundation — from ecosystem understanding to business structure and scaling.
The DPA Student Operating System is designed to transition you from a passive learner to an active operator within the first 72 hours. Every step is structured, every milestone is verified.
Complete the Operator's Oath — acknowledging the responsibility of managing a carrier's revenue.
Download and review the DPA Global System Ebook.
Pass a 10-question quiz on the difference between a task-based dispatcher and a logistics operator.
Set up your digital workspace.
Customize the Carrier Packet Template and establish a document management system (Google Drive structure for Rate Cons, BOLs, and Carrier Profiles).
Submit a completed, mock Carrier Profile for review.
Introduction to load boards and market data tools.
Conduct a mock pre-market analysis for three different equipment types in three different regions.
Successfully identify headhaul versus backhaul markets based on current load-to-truck ratios.
Students cannot advance to the next level without proving competency in the current one. The progression ladder is strict by design.
FOCUS: Understanding the ecosystem, equipment intelligence, and basic workflows.
CHECKPOINT: A simulated load booking exercise. Source a load, calculate the RPM, and correctly fill out a mock rate confirmation. Failure requires a review of Level 1 Curriculum modules 1 and 2.
FOCUS: Rate negotiation, market timing, and lane strategy.
CHECKPOINT: A live negotiation roleplay with the AI Assistant or a mentor. Successfully counter a lowball offer and negotiate detention pay using the provided scripts.
FOCUS: Handling real-world disruptions — breakdowns, weather delays, claims.
CHECKPOINT: The Crisis Simulation. Presented with a multi-variable problem (e.g., a reefer breakdown with a high-value commodity) — document the exact communication and resolution steps.
FOCUS: Comprehensive application of all DPA principles.
CHECKPOINT: A 48-hour simulation managing a mock fleet of three trucks. Graded on total net revenue generated, compliance adherence, and issue resolution. Passing grants entry into the Mentorship phase.
Operators make mistakes. The DPA system ensures those mistakes are categorized, corrected, and not repeated. Five common failure points with immediate structural fixes.
ROOT CAUSE: Failure to calculate true CPM; desperation to keep the truck moving.
MANDATORY CPM WORKSHEET: Submit a completed Cost Per Mile calculation before accessing the load board simulation.
ROOT CAUSE: Poor communication; failure to notify the broker at the 2-hour mark.
AUTOMATED WORKFLOW TRIGGER: Hard rule — if a driver is on-site for 90 minutes, initiate first broker contact using the provided negotiation script.
ROOT CAUSE: Focusing on gross rate rather than net yield and time value.
TRIANGULATION RULE: Map total miles (loaded + deadhead) and divide gross rate by total miles to find true RPM. If below minimum threshold, the load is rejected.
ROOT CAUSE: Rushing the execution phase; signing documents without review.
THE LPOA CHECKLIST: Before signing any rate confirmation, verify the rate, pick/drop times, and accessorial clauses against your notes.
ROOT CAUSE: Treating the carrier as a transaction rather than a partner.
WEEKLY PERFORMANCE REVIEW: Conduct a weekly revenue and performance review with carriers, discussing what went right, what went wrong, and the strategy for the following week.
The AI-Powered DPA Assistant is programmed to act as a seasoned logistics operator — not a generic chatbot. It adheres strictly to DPA principles: no fluff, no hype, no generic advice. It delivers actionable, structured guidance based on the Strategy → Structure → Systems framework.
"A broker is offering $1.50 per mile on a dry van load from Chicago to Atlanta. Should I take it?"
"Before accepting that rate, you must evaluate the complete operational picture. Please provide: (1) Your carrier's operating cost per mile. (2) Current average market rates for the Chicago to Atlanta lane. (3) Your backhaul strategy out of Atlanta. A $1.50 RPM is generally below market average for that lane. If your cost per mile is $1.80, accepting this load results in a net loss. Provide the requested data, and we will build a counter-offer strategy."
Graduates of the Dispatch School who are ready for the next level can apply for the 12-week Mentorship program — direct access, Q&A, and live implementation support at $5,000.
